Ronald Doble, a builder, who began his career as a carpenter and wheelwright. The family business is now continued by his son Brian.

Dennis Hart – 1973

Dennis Hart. Dennis’s family first came to Hemyock in 1702 and have been builders in the village for generations. He has now retired but his son, Steve, continues to run the family business.

V.E. Day 1995 – Fensom

V.E. Day 1995. Lilian and David Fensom. The couple met on Cilla Black’s television show Blind Date in October 1993. Love blossomed and after a Civil Wedding at Tiverton on 5th. February 1994 their wedding was blessed at St.Mary’s Church, Hemyock. Cilla Black attended the wedding, which was filmed for television. It was a very hectic day for Hemyock when the village was taken over by an army of T.V. cameramen, technicians and hundreds of onlookers.
