Summer of 1963 with one of the two carriages used towards the end that were built by the London & North Eastern Railway, to replace the last gas lit carriages on British Railways. Loco 1466 went on to be preserved by the Great Western Society, now being housed at Didcot Railway Centre nr Oxford and is currently subject of an appeal to raise money for a return to steam.
