Although the picture is small on the site I believe that the boy in the middle of the back row is Rodney Clist and on the left of the middle row, holding the rake is Ken Clarke.
The date of this photo will be later than in the headline. I would suggest 1942/43 with the boys being between 8 and 10 years old. years old
